Welcome, traveler.
Seven inns stood on the creek — five gone, one shut, one open.

Also at the mouth of the creek: The High Bridge Hotel The old Robeson house at Ridge Avenue and Wissahickon Drive, under the railroad High Bridge. Not one of the seven inns.

Across the creek, on the river: Riverside Mansion The Robesons' Milverton, later a hotel with a steamer landing on its own bank. Not one of the seven inns, and not the High Bridge Hotel.

Up the Cresheim Creek, in the Chestnut Hill woods: Buttercup Cottage

A summer home for working girls, 1889 — its stone barn still stands as a ruin off Cresheim Valley Drive. Not one of the seven inns.
