The Great Mill @ Wissahickon Valley Park, Philadelphia, PA

This should be on the top of your list on places to visit. Thomas Shomaker built the mill, known as “The Great Mill”, in 1717. Ruins of this mill are on the opposite side of the road next of the Glen Fern house. The mill and adjacent property were sold to Thomas Livezey on October 10, 1747. The mill was destroyed in a fire on October 24, 1793.
