The Lost Goldmine of the Wissahickon

Here is a cool place to check out. It’s off the main path on Forbidden Drive with no markers. There is kind of an unmarked trail that will kind of get you there. What is this place? The Roxborough Mining Company thought they could possibly hit the gold jackpot in 1763. This is what was left after they were done. There are some other stories out there, but this is the most common one. I did make my way into the mine. I can’t say that I would recommend doing that.
