If your walking along Forbidden Drive, you may notice one of the bridge abutments for the Hartwell Lane Bridge on the other side of the path. It has several trees growing out of it. The bridge is long gone and was demolished around the 1950s. As far as I know, it was the only iron bridge along Forbidden Drive. Who built this bridge and why? That is a good question and don't answer. It would be interesting to find out.
